Learning Math has been a challenge in the palace. I have finally learned that the prince is a right-brained learner and doesn't learn in the traditional ways. He needs hands-on activities instead of just rote memorization. The princess learns mostly by osmosis, but enjoys games as well. Anytime that we can disguise school as play, we jump at the chance.
Enter Carlito C. Caterpillar's MathHouse Game Card Set.
This set of 40 games is geared toward children in pre-school through early elementary. The material is presented in 3 stages covering quantity, numeration, and operations. You download the manipulatives used in the game. If you don't like printing things, you can tweak the games to use things you have on hand.
We haven't used many of the games, but have enjoyed the ones we did use.
