It has been a while since I have posted a Wordless Wednesday picture. I've taken quite a few photos, but can't seem to get them posted.

The other day, I had some things to do outside. The princess came with me and brought two baby dolls that she got for Christmas. She went straight to her favorite, neglected flower bed to play. When I looked up, this is what I saw:
Ride 'em flamingo-girl (?)

It wasn't long before I saw this:
Bucked Off!
O.K. So, maybe it wasn't so wordless. It wasn't word-ful either, but I'm still linking to Wordless Wednesday,  Project Alicia, Five Minutes for MomSupermom, Live and Love Outloud, Seven Clown Circus, Dagmar's momsense, and Better In Bulk.

Yesterday, I told you about the Christmas trip home to visit my family. I think somebody forgot to tell Central Florida that we were coming and to roll out the sunshine.

I also told you about the prince taking a trip with his grandfather. They were going to visit the local strawberry growers. This is what they found:
That's ice!!! In Florida!!! The strawberry farmers are in the midst of harvesting their berries. To protect the crop, they use overhead irrigation when cold weather threatens their production. This was the 8th or 9th freeze this year. They will lose all the ripe berries, but the ice "blankets" will save the plants to continue production.

Prince Charming was able to go back a few days later. He spoke to the farmer and learned more about his production of 200 acres of berries (compared to our one acre).

Sometimes, you just have to block out all the distractions to get any work done around here.

Disclaimer: This was entirely the princess’ idea. I had no involvement other than to take the picture. No child or box was harmed in the making of this photo.

Not entirely wordless ... Our lawn mower quit working last week (or was it the week before?). Anyway, the palace lawn was looking pretty ragged. Luckily, the royal goat was more than happy to take care of things.

The royal strawberry patch closed for the season at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Life just might get back to "normal" now. That is all.
